Underground Carpark

Members are advised that the underground carpark will be closed Monday the 22nd for some maintenance to be performed.

Course Etiquette and Care

Now is as good a time as any to remind members to adhere to a few key course care principles to help maintain our playing surfaces.

With the course coming into a softer period, with more rain falling during the spring and the upcoming winter, repairing pitch marks on greens is more important than ever.

It is expected that every golfer repairs their own pitch marks on greens during a round, and if time permits, at least one additional plug mark if one is nearby. It is obvious at the moment that many members do not repair their pitch marks at all. If you are not already repairing your plug marks, please introduce this new habit immediately.

As a small incentive, if you do not have a pitch repairer, one will be given to you for free before your next round. Please see the Golf Centre staff and ask for one.

Below is a link to a video instructing how to repair pitch marks correctly, please observe this or the many other videos available on YouTube so that you can apply the correct technique to the repair.
Another issue being witnessed is the tracking of golf buggies across greens surfaces, and to a lesser extent tee surfaces – this should not be happening and must stop immediately.

All buggy traffic should navigate around greens and tees at all times. The ideal spot to leave buggies when putting is between the exit of the green you are currently playing and the direction of the next tee, somewhere in between these two points, but not on the green or tee surfaces.

Please help protect the playing surfaces by adhering to these principles when next you play.

Prize Accounts

We thank members for their patience while our new back-of-house software is being implemented and rolled out. One aspect we have resolved this week that we can report on is the visibility of prize accounts (or comp winnings) to members, and where to see them on the website.

To view your prize account, login to the GA website and go to the “My Info” page, there you will see a box titled “Prize Account” - click the button within the box and you will be taken to your Prize Account page.

Here you will see your total prize winnings, how much of the credit you have used, and when clicking the “View Details” button at the bottom, further details on when the individual prize winnings were issued.
1) “My Info”
2) “Prize Account”
3) “View Details”
All members prize credits are available to be used for purchases at the point of sale within the Golf Centre and the Member’s Bar.
